Job Title: RN, Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator Schedule/Shift: Full-Time / 40 hours weekly / Day Shift Location: Onsite - Holy Cross Health, Silver Spring, Maryland with some travel to Germantown, MD and local medical practices required.
Please note this position is for a Registered Nurse with a current Maryland or compact state RN license.

General
Summary
The Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator leads, manages and coordinates research programs and studies for the Clinical Research Program and physician Principal Investigators. Provides nursing leadership in accordance with protocol requirements, physicians’ orders, and applicable medical center policies and procedures; and performs related work as required. Adheres to Federal and State regulations and sponsor guidelines. Ensures hospital compliance with required terms and conditions for final and ongoing approval to participate in the study.
Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
Minimum licensure/certification required (if applicable)
Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner. Bachelor’s Degree required; BSN or MSN strongly preferred. Clinical Research Certification preferred. Good Clinical Practice (GCP)Certification preferred, Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Active Driver License.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills,& Abilities Required
Three or more years of nursing experience; active practice within the past 5 years preferred. One or more years of experience in leading or coordinating clinical research studies required. Experience in Oncology preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of personal computers, data base procedures, spreadsheet software and word processing software. Ability to accurately collect and record clinical information from the medical record efficiently; to organize data in computer program for report generation.
Ability to plan and implement recruitment campaigns. Ability to coordinate the activities of a multidisciplinary research team including physicians. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
Ability to delegate tasks to support staff.
Reporting Relationship
Reports directly to the Manager of Holy Cross Hospital Clinical Research Program.
Pay Range: $77,334/yr-$116,000 annually Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
