Skilled Cardiology Device Clinic Nurse position that assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents professional nursing care of patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIED) including pacemakers, implantable defibrillakers, cardiac resynchronization therapy and implantable loop recorders. Responsibilities include interrogating, evaluating and programming implanted cardiac devices, recognizing CIED abnormalities, completing pertinent documentation, reviewing/processing remote transmissions, and serving as an expert resource for device and arrhythmia management.

Requirements

  • Associates of Science in Nursing required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • RN-NM, Current licensure in New Mexico as a registered nurse
  • 1-2 years' experience in critical care, interventional cardiology/electrophysiology lab or cardiac step-down unit
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • Strong cardiology background preferred
  • Completion of a professional CIED program through ATI, PrepMD or similar preferred
