About this role
As a Registered Nurse CVICU, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn –whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing. The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.
In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage. The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance. 10-bed CVICU at a Level 2 Trauma Center.

Requirements
- Graduate from accredited school of nursing with either an AND or BSN degree
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license
- BLS required upon hire
- ACLS required within 3 months of hire
- Minimum 1 year hospital experience, prefer cardiac or acute care
