Unit Highlights
Welcome to the Emergency Department at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center! The Emergency Department was completely renovated and expanded in 2021. There are 38 private treatment rooms, a dedicated behavioral health area, 8 flex chairs, and two large trauma rooms. Our Emergency Department sees over 48,000 patients per year. Gain great experience taking care of patients of all ages with various medical conditions!
All new graduates will take place in our Nurse Residency Program.

Minimal Qualifications
Education
- Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited academic nursing program required
