** Relocation Assistance Available for Qualified Candidates ** Baptist MD Anderson is looking to add a Registered Nurse (RN) as a Stem Cell Transplant (SCT) Team at the Baptist MD Anderson Clinic located in Jacksonville, FL. This Registered Nurse will work a 40 hour per week schedule with a shift of Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. This role serves as a key coordinator for patients undergoing stem cell transplantation, providing guidance and support throughout the entire transplant journey.

The coordinator works closely with hematology providers to educate patients, coordinate pre-transplant evaluations, facilitate scheduling, and ensure seamless care throughout the transplant process. Responsibilities include ongoing patient communication, care coordination, and close monitoring during the critical post-transplant period. This position plays an essential role in delivering a positive patient experience while supporting successful transplant outcomes.

As a Stem Cell Transplant Coordinator you will

Demonstrate expert knowledge of SCT process and complex pre-transplant care. Direct plan of care with the patient and the multidisciplinary team Coordinate and conducts patient and family education utilizing SCT Patient Education Manual and Patient Education online. Assess needs for multidisciplinary support and organize consultations with other areas in a timely and efficient manner.

Direct all pre-admission activities to include donor activities (if applicable), treatment orders, consents, education, tours, documentation and pre-admit requisitions to ensure a smooth, seamless transition for patients and family members to the inpatient setting. Assure that the transition of care from outpatient to inpatient is seamless. Organize all diagnostics needed pre-transplant.

Responsible for scheduling admissions and preparing the appropriate paperwork to assure a clear and concise admission process. Collaborate with cellular therapy finance specialists and liaise with insurance case managers to ensure appropriate authorizations, timely utilization review, and maximize program reimbursement. Utilize and update appropriate database communication tools.

Support CIBMTR, required outcome reporting agency, compliance through direct contact with and support of the Oncology Data Coordinator Share responsibility for donor coordination with the Oncology Data Coordinator, Clinical Program and Quality Manager with the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) Responsible for reviewing and adhering to SCT policy and procedures and for providing feedback regarding SCT policy and procedures that are related to the phases of transplant. Responsible for participating in process improvement meetings as assigned to address SCT operations.
