Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse utilizes evidence based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures of the hospital and as directed by the medical staff. The registered nurse who through knowledge and ability uses the nursing process to develop a plan of care which includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional spiritual, cultural and educational needs of the patient and family. Compassionate healthcare professional committed to providing the highest quality of patient care in a highly progressive and unique unit performing the following procedures Endoscopy Surgery: Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD) and Per Oral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM),ERCP ,EUS, Motility , Abaltion, Small bowel enteroscopy. Our nurses are highly trained and highly skilled in their particular specialties. You are the key to our success! Qualifications In this role you will be working with patients in a busy GI Endoscopy Unit caring for both the inpatient and outpatient population. You will possess the ability to care for patients in the pre-operative and post-operative care setting. • Current Connecticut RN License. • Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN Required). • Registered Nurse with 1-2 years of Stepdown / ICU experience preferred. • Requires a person who is highly motivated, energetic and organized, must be able to multitask. • Looking for person who has leadership skills and is willing to take on projects and tasks as determined by the needs of the department • BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire. Requirements

  • Current Connecticut RN License
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN Required)
  • 1-2 years of Stepdown/ICU experience preferred
  • BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire
  • Highly motivated, energetic and organized, must be able to multitask
