Details Work setting is a 40-bed Neurology unit (4 West) within an acute care hospital in Austin, TX Neurological patient population with a focus on Med/Surg-level care Patient ratios are 5–6:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift Night shift

- No on-call requirements
- EMR system is Meditech
- Requirements
- Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license valid in Texas required

BLS (AHA or ARC accepted) and NIH Stroke Scale — certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required US SSN and date of birth required for consideration One professional reference required No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, and 4 PCTs; night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, and 4 PCTs Navy blue scrubs are required Unit is described as having a great team culture
