About this role
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients within a assigned unit with a commitment to quality and safety. Professional nursing practices, requiring specialized knowledge judgment and skill are performed using the process in accordance with hospital policy, procedures and nursing philosophy. Responsibilities include providing direct, professional nursing care to specified population of patients in the acute care setting, developing a patient centered plan of care, maintaining confidentiality of the patient medical record, counseling and educating patients, administering medication, providing wound care and dressing changes, consulting with physicians, performing nursing interventions, observing and recording patient behavior, delegating to unlicensed assistive staff and LPN staff, and providing timely and accurate documentation of patient care.

Requirements
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse RN License
- Basic Life Support BLS Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support PALS Certification
- Acute care RN experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor Degree Nursing BSN preferred
- Inpatient Pediatrics experience preferred
