1:1 LPN

*Position Summary*

The One-to-One Student Nurse provides individualized nursing and health-related support to a student. The nurse's primary responsibility is to support the student's health, safety, access to education, and participation in the school environment throughout the school day.

• Current and unrestricted Pennsylvania nursing license as an RN or LPN, as appropriatefor the nursing services required by the student.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Current First Aid certification.
• Experience working with children or individuals with complex medical needs preferred.
• Experience working with students with sensory impairments or multiple disabilitiespreferred.
• Must satisfy all Pennsylvania school employment background-check and clearance requirements.

*Physical Requirements*

The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

• Accompanying the student throughout the school building and school grounds.
• Remaining in close proximity to the student when medically necessary.
• Responding quickly in an emergency.
• Assisting with positioning, mobility, transfers, or personal care when required by the student's individual plan.
• Carrying or transporting necessary medical supplies and equipment.
• Performing CPR, First Aid, and other emergency procedures within the employee's training and scope of practice.
