About this role

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership, direction, and management in the planning development, implementation and evaluation of the hospital's nursing program in a manner that provides quality care, maximizes human and material resources, facilitates the team concept in the executive decision making process and in representing the nursing department in interactions with others. Responsible for the quality of all nursing care provided within the health care program. Performs the full spectrum of supervisory personnel management (human resources) responsibilities by supervising subordinate clerical and professional positions with grades ranging from GS-7 to GS-12.
