Position summary
Employee performs duties normally associated with LPN license in the CRF/ARF facility operated by a community behavioral health center. Services are provided to adults and children. Completes nursing examinations, assessments, implements plans, and evaluates patient status under the review of an RN.
Provides nursing care; discusses medical changes with the patient; monitors vital signs, CIWA/COWS, administers medications and monitors for effectiveness, or signs of adverse reactions to medications. Provides medication and diagnosis-related information to patients, and answers questions as appropriate. Reviews patient medical charts and transcribes and/or prepares documents for doctor or APRN review and signature Maintains comprehensive and timely documentation including daily nursing notes.
LPN provides work direction to technicians during shift.
