*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our compassionate team. - Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor and record vital signs, observe changes in residents’ conditions, and report findings to nursing staff promptly.
- Provide compassionate care tailored to residents with diverse needs such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or behavioral health conditions.
- Support medication administration under supervision and ensure accurate documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols, especially when working with infectious disease care or in sterile procedures.
- Assist with patient transfers and positioning, utilizing equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices.
- Document all care activities thoroughly in medical records while respecting HIPAA regulations and ensuring confidentiality.
*Skills*
- Proven experience in long-term care, assisted living, or skilled nursing facilities with familiarity in geriatrics and memory care.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS).
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges, including Alzheimer’s or dementia care.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and provide excellent patient service.
- Ability to perform duties requiring physical stamina including standing for extended periods and assisting with patient mobility using lifts or other equipment.
- Understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for acute care settings like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers.
