Certified Nursing Assistant

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
• Monitor and record vital signs, observe changes in residents’ conditions, and report findings to nursing staff promptly.
• Provide compassionate care tailored to residents with diverse needs such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or behavioral health conditions.
• Support medication administration under supervision and ensure accurate documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols, especially when working with infectious disease care or in sterile procedures.
• Assist with patient transfers and positioning, utilizing equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices.
• Document all care activities thoroughly in medical records while respecting HIPAA regulations and ensuring confidentiality.

*Skills*

• Proven experience in long-term care, assisted living, or skilled nursing facilities with familiarity in geriatrics and memory care.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS).
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges, including Alzheimer’s or dementia care.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and provide excellent patient service.
• Ability to perform duties requiring physical stamina including standing for extended periods and assisting with patient mobility using lifts or other equipment.
• Understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for acute care settings like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers.
