About this role
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Infusion Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will deliver specialized infusion therapies to patients across diverse settings, ensuring safe, effective, and personalized care. Your expertise will support patients with complex medical needs, including those requiring IV infusions, medication administration, and advanced therapies such as botulinum toxin treatments.
You will play a key role in enhancing patient outcomes through precise assessments, meticulous procedures, and compassionate communication. Duties
- Administer intravenous (IV) infusions, injections, and medications accurately following established protocols and aseptic techniques

- Assess patient conditions before, during, and after infusion therapy to monitor for adverse reactions or complications
- Educate patients about their infusion treatments, including potential side effects and post-care instructions
- Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, pharmacists, and case managers to coordinate care plans
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control standards and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and safety
- Assist with specialized procedures such as catheter care, venipuncture, tube feeding management, and sterile processing when necessary
Experience
- Proven experience working as an infusion nurse or in related settings such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or home care environments
- Strong background in IV insertion, aseptic technique, and medication administration across diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation and patient record management
- Critical care experience preferred—particularly ICU or emergency room settings—demonstrating ability to handle acute situations efficiently
- Knowledge of complex therapies including botulinum toxin treatment for ophthalmology or neurological conditions is a plus
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs is advantageous
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are beneficial
