About this role

Pacific Northwest Fertility & IVF Specialists is a state-of-the-art clinic offering a wide variety of treatments ranging from basic care to the most advanced fertility technologies. At this time, we have a unique opportunity for a *part time* PACU Nurse (RN) to join our procedure team in Bellevue as we care for patients undergoing surgical procedures for fertility-related treatments. Our procedure team thrives on creating a positive experience for all patients in our care.

  • This position would ideally be four days a week, Thursday-Monday, with availability for on-call shifts is a plus.
  • A typical weekend shift may be 7:00 am - 12:00 pm.
  • Averaging ~20-29 hours/week

*General Nursing

Duties

*

  • Start IVs prior to procedures.
  • Verify operative and informed consents are signed.
  • Monitor patient vital signs.
  • Assess and provide intervention for the patient with regards to pain, nausea, and other post-op symptoms, and any side effects from anesthesia.
  • Work with an interdisciplinary medical team.
  • Document and keep the team informed about the patient's recovery.
  • Provide education about recovery to the patient and family member.
  • Other duties as assigned.

*Procedure Team

Duties

  • Assist with instrument processing.
  • Assist with procedure set up and take down.
  • Assist team with a variety of outpatient procedures including egg retrievals, hysteroscopies, and D&Cs.
  • Assist with prepping, stocking, and cleaning transfer rooms.
  • Provide support to the provider by anticipating needs.
  • Perform clerical duties as needed to maintain effective work and patient flow.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

*

  • 1-3 years of experience in one of the following areas: surgery center, PACU, ICU, ER, or Urgent Care
  • Experience with IV placement
  • Experience recovering patients post-anesthesia
  • Current Washington State RN licensure
  • BLS and ACLS (ACLS required prior to start date)
