UPMC Corporate Health Services is hiring a Clinical Curriculum and Practice Specialist. This role will work Monday through Friday during the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The position will have a hybrid schedule with onsite work at Forbes Tower or the closest hospital. The role will have local travel as needed. The Clinical Curriculum and Practice Specialist has the authority, responsibility, and accountability for delivery of clinical care curriculum throughout the UPMC system. In collaboration with the health care team, the Clinical Curriculum and Practice Specialist serves as an expert for clinical staff and other disciplines in area of specialty by maintaining partnerships within the system to develop clinical education curriculum and service line implementation. This system-level role drives meaningful change at both the bedside and across a complex health system. Success requires a strategic leader who stays connected to frontline practice to ensure initiatives have real impact. The role demands flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities, along with proactive communication to engage multidisciplinary teams and keep senior leaders informed of progress, risks, and barriers—supporting alignment, timely decisions, and sustainable outcomes.

Requirements

  • MSN or Master's in related field required; Doctorate preferred
  • Three years of clinical experience; two years of relevant clinical specialty experience required
  • Registered Nurse or other clinical licensed professional
  • Prior experience within a quality role or similar experience preferred
  • Quality improvement experience within an acute care setting preferred
  • Six sigma certification preferred
