Summary
Laukoa is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) / Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to fill our clinical support positions located throughout the State of New York in support of medical readiness services for the New York Army National Guard (NYARNG). Work is primarily on weekends, with some occasional weekdays, at varying sites throughout New York. All work is a part-time "as needed" basis. LPNs/LVNs will provide clinical support focused on medical record review, medical readiness documentation, and preparation of Service Member records for PHA providers.
Hourly Pay: $ 29.25 Plus Travel Expenses

Duties and
Responsibilities
Support Periodic Health Assessment (PHA) events for NYARNG Service Members Conduct pre-provider review of Service Member health records, medical readiness documentation, and PHA/SRP packets Review available Individual Medical Readiness (IMR), laboratory, immunization, cardiovascular risk, and other supporting medical information for completeness Identify missing, incomplete, or relevant medical information requiring provider review or follow-up Prepare and organize medical records and documentation for review by the PHA provider Support accurate documentation of medical findings on the SF600, MEDPROS, MWDE, and other military-approved systems as assigned Assist with height, weight, and blood pressure screening and documentation as needed Safeguard all Service Member information by keeping written and verbal communications confidential and discreet Ensure all actions comply with HIPAA and other applicable federal and state requirements Complete required training and follow applicable contractual requirements stipulated by the client and Laukoa
Qualifications
Current, active, unrestricted license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the State of New York Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program Experience reviewing medical records and clinical documentation Ability to identify missing or incomplete medical information and escalate clinical concerns to the appropriate provider Adaptable to fast-paced environments, with large volumes of Service Members seen daily Able to work at various locations throughout New York State, including military installations Must be able to successfully pass required background checks and meet installation access requirements Ability to work for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speed Must be collaborative and solutions oriented Excellent customer service skills and experience interacting with diverse populations Excellent oral and written communication skills Basic computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint Experience working in a military setting and working knowledge of Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) preferred Experience with MEDPROS, MWDE, MODS, or MEDCHART preferred Previous Government Common Access Card (CAC) access preferred
