Responsibilities
- Manage ventilation support (Drager ventilators, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP) and monitor respiratory status
- Titrate vasoactive and cardiac hydrating/inotropic drips; provide continuous IV sedation as ordered
- Care for arterial and central lines; interpret ABGs and monitor hemodynamics
- Assist with chest tubes and provide care during placement/removal; support TTMs as indicated
- Conduct rapid sequence intubation and deliver post-arrest care, including temperature management as applicable
- Recognize and respond to unstable rhythms; perform post-code care and operate in coordination with the care team
Requirements
- WA RN license or Compact RN in-hand required
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications; annual stroke education (2 hours) noted
- Minimum 2 years RN experience; travel experience required; Trauma Level II experience required
- Ability to work in a high-acuity MICU and float to similar units as needed
- Orientation: 24 hours with ~16 hours of pre-start modules
- First-timers accepted: No; Locals accepted: No
- Epic experience for charting; proficient in ventilator management and complex patient monitoring
