Job Summary
Provides direct care to patients in a general medical-surgical setting. Manages a variety of medical conditions, assists with post-operative recovery, performs assessments, administers medications, and ensures patient comfort and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Monitor vital signs and patient status.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care, wound care, and pain management.
- Administer medications and treatments, observing for reactions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with physicians and care teams.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Respond to emergencies and assist in life-saving procedures as needed.
