Shift Details

This position primarily operates during standard business hours; however, the Manager holds oversight and accountability for a team of RNs delivering nurse triage support during after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage. The Manager partners closely with RN Leads, who provide shift leadership during off-hours, to ensure consistent clinical practice, escalation support, and team performance across all coverage periods. Experience leading through organizational change management is preferred, with a demonstrated ability to build trust and relationships across clinical and operational stakeholders.

Experience driving process improvement initiatives within a triage, call center, or ambulatory care setting is a plus.

Job Summary

The Manager is accountable for the delivery of safe, effective and efficient nursing services and patient care. This accountability is exercised by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating processes, workflows and functions that provide nursing and patient care according to accepted standards of practice and performance. The Manager is responsible for defining and achieving service and quality outcomes that are sensitive to nursing and patient care.

This individual is responsible for assessing needs, planning and allocating nursing and other patient care resources. Additionally, this individual is responsible for recruitment and retention, hiring, managing performance, supervising and supporting the professional development of registered nurses who deliver telephonic nursing care.

Experience description

3 years of experience in hospital or ambulatory care nursing is required. 2 years leadership experience is required. 3 years of leadership experience preferred. Experience using call center phone systems, multiple practice management platforms, and Epic is preferred.

Education description

Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. Bachelor's Degree in related field is required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.

Training description

Preferred proficiency with Epic Nurse Triage Software and call center technology.

Strong interpersonal, leadership, team building and decision making capabilities to ensure effective and efficient operations. Works effectively with leadership, providers and staff to promote a positive patient experience that supports the Mission/Vision/Values. Ability to set priorities and identify and resolve problems with timely follow up and follow through.

Licensure description

Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). Certification in a Nursing Specialty or Nursing Administration is preferred. (e.g. , certification in clinic nursing specialty, Nurse Executive).

Pay is expected to be between: (expressed as hourly) $44.57 - $69.08. Final compensation is based on experience and will be discussed with you by the recruiter during the interview process.
