- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physiology evaluations, and medical history documentation

- Administer medications, injections, IV insertions, and other treatments following strict medical protocols and safety standards
- Respond swiftly to medical emergencies with first aid, CPR, AED operation, and acute care interventions
- Maintain accurate medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, or outpatient settings
- Conduct patient education and communicate effectively with patients’ families to explain treatment procedures and health management strategies
- Adhere to all health regulations and nursing policy standards while maintaining high levels of professionalism in a variety of clinical environments including Level I Trauma Centers, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), urgent care clinics, school clinics, and post-acute care facilities
Requirements
- Valid licensure from the State Board of Nursing with active registration in accordance with State Nursing Practice Acts
- Proven experience in Level II trauma centers or Level I Trauma Centers is highly preferred
- Extensive background in hospital medicine, emergency room settings, or acute care environments such as Medical-Surgical units or OR (Operating Room) experience
- Knowledge of infectious disease care protocols and familiarity with infection control practices
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation and record management
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology necessary for effective patient assessment and treatment administration
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid, CPR, AED operation, and IV insertion techniques required; additional certifications like Geriatrics or Pediatrics are advantageous
- Ability to handle manual patient handling tasks safely while maintaining compliance with health regulations and nursing policies
- Excellent communication skills for parent interaction in school clinic settings or outpatient services; capable of working collaboratively within interprofessional teams
