*Clinic Nurse (LPN or RN) – Personal Injury & Rehabilitation Clinic*

*Advanced Injury Care Center* is seeking a dependable, patient-focused *Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse* to join our new personal-injury, chiropractic, and rehabilitation clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.

The nurse will work on-site and serve as the primary clinical support person for our remotely collaborating physician. This position will help coordinate medical evaluations, collect and document clinical information, assist with approved in-office procedures, communicate with patients, and ensure that physician-directed care is completed accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working independently, confident communicating with a remote physician, and experienced in medical-office documentation and patient care. Experience in personal injury, pain management, orthopedics, urgent care, primary care, rehabilitation, or chiropractic settings is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the remote physician during telehealth and medical evaluations.
  • Prepare patients for physician appointments and virtual consultations.
  • Obtain and document medical histories, accident histories, current symptoms, medications, allergies, and relevant prior treatment.
  • Obtain and accurately document vital signs.
  • Perform patient intake and clinical screening within the nurse’s authorized scope of practice.
  • Communicate patient findings, concerns, and changes in condition to the physician.
  • Assist the physician with coordinating treatment plans, referrals, diagnostic imaging, specialist consultations, and follow-up care.
  • Carry out properly authorized physician orders according to clinic protocols and the nurse’s license.
  • Assist with permitted in-office procedures when appropriately trained, authorized, and directed.
  • Administer medications or injections only when legally permitted, properly ordered, and within the nurse’s scope of practice.
  • Prepare treatment and procedure areas and maintain appropriate clinical supplies.
  • Educate patients regarding physician instructions, medications, follow-up appointments, home-care directions, and referrals.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete EHR documentation.
  • Assist with medical records, prescriptions, prior authorizations, referrals, and communication with pharmacies or outside providers.
  • Identify urgent symptoms or possible medical red flags and promptly escalate them to the physician or emergency services.
  • Follow HIPAA, infection-control, patient-safety, and clinic documentation standards.
  • Work closely with the chiropractor, chiropractic assistant, front-desk staff, and physician to maintain efficient patient flow.
  • Help develop clinical workflows and protocols as the practice grows.

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted *Florida LPN or RN license*.
  • Current CPR or BLS certification.
  • At least one year of clinical or medical-office experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant preferred.
  • Experience with patient intake, vital signs, medical histories, EHR documentation, referrals, and prior authorizations.
  • Comfortable using telehealth platforms and communicating with a remotely located physician.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to complete documentation promptly.
  • Professional, compassionate, dependable, and comfortable working in a startup clinic.
  • Ability to recognize and appropriately escalate urgent medical concerns.
  • Personal-injury, PIP, pain-management, orthopedic, primary-care, rehabilitation, or chiropractic experience is a strong advantage.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

  • Full-time or part-time depending on clinic and physician needs
