Hiring organization

You are looking at state classified nursing work for the State of Louisiana in the Baton Rouge area—not a typical hospital floor. One concrete setting is the Louisiana State Police Training Academy Support Section, where an RN4 runs early sick-call…

What reviewers appreciate

  • Hands-on RN4 sick-call work with academy cadets under a Medical Coordinator
  • Civil Service classification with formal layoff and preferred re-employment rules
  • NLC multistate license accepted; Louisiana has been a compact state since 2019

What reviewers flag

  • Some hiring timelines stretch toward ninety days for higher-level roles
  • Follow-up clarity after interviews is inconsistent for some candidates
  • Published pay signals are thin; one offline ER RN range looked unusually low and may be incomplete
