American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment requiring SC or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- Medical Surgical unit within a 28-bed inpatient facility
- Night shift, 3x12s, 7p-7a
- Patient ratios of 1:6-7
- Every other weekend required with holiday rotation
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
- No on-call requirement
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active SC RN license or compact license required in hand prior to start
- Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required

- Provide direct patient care within a fast-paced medical surgical/telemetry environment
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Free parking available onsite
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility, as MUSC prioritizes non-local candidates
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
- Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on the position
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response duties
