Job Summary Plays a critical role in bridging clinical practice and information technology, contributing to enhanced patient safety and outcomes. Evaluates workflows, provide training, and support system adoption efforts, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and operations. Essential Functions All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's values: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Clinical informatics expert for assigned clinical areas, gaining in-depth knowledge of workflows and documentation requirements to effectively support system optimization and user training. Ensures alignment with best practices and regulatory standards while supporting system optimization and user training. Participates as the Clinical Informatics representative in meetings and projects to optimize existing clinical systems and implement new ones, improving system usability and patient outcomes. Provides training and support to clinical staff on healthcare information technology, facilitating system adoption and proficiency. Analyzes data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, contributing to evidence-based decision-making and quality improvement initiatives. Upholds organizational standards and seeks opportunities for professional growth in nursing informatics and project management, enhancing personal and team effectiveness. Communicates with stakeholders, gathers requirements, and addresses concerns related to clinical informatics initiatives while collaborating with IT teams to troubleshoot system issues and ensure data integrity and security. Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive. Minimum Requirements Education - Bachelor's degree in Nursing Experience - Three (3) years Nursing practice, quality improvement, clinical informatics or healthcare operations. In Lieu Of In lieu of the BSN requirement above, a nursing diploma or an Associate degree in Nursing may be considered if the applicant signs a Memorandum of Understanding agreeing to enroll in an accredited BSN or MSN program within one year and obtain a BSN or MSN degree within four (4) years. In lieu of the BSN requirement above, will accept a Master's degree in a related field. Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses Licensed to practice as an RN in South Carolina.
