How you'll make an impact in this role
Deliver advanced, direct nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns in alignment with established NICU policies and clinical protocols.
Track, document, and communicate subtle changes in neonatal condition, vital signs, and development to physicians and the care team.
Serve as the primary coordinator across neonatologists, specialists, and therapies to carry out complex medical orders and optimize clinical outcomes.
Assess post-acute needs and partner with families and the care team to prepare safe, comprehensive discharge plans for delicate infants.
What minimum qualifications you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Certification specializing in The S. T. A. B. L. E Program preferred.
Education
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
