American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring strong ventilator and central line management skills.
Details
Work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (2S NICU) of a hospital setting
Family-centered care unit encouraging parental participation in infant care
Unit is working toward Baby Friendly designation and promotes breastfeeding practices
12-hour night shift schedule, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
No floating or charge nurse responsibilities required
Requirements
Active FL or Compact RN license required
Minimum 2 years acute care experience required within a specialized unit in the last 2 years
Current EMR experience required
Must have completed at least 2 travel assignments in the past 12 months working full time in an acute care setting
Proficient in IV skills and IV fluid maintenance
Strong knowledge of ventilator care and central lines (UACs, UVCs, PICC, and midlines)
Experience with chest tube maintenance and care
Strong patient and parent teaching skills

Serve as a breastfeeding resource for mothers on the unit
Work within a supportive, team-based NICU care model
Accepts local candidates within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
Candidates residing less than 50 miles from the facility are not eligible for the travel assignment rate
Can only be submitted to one position at this facility at a time
