About Rocky Mountain Rheumatology Rocky Mountain Rheumatology is a growing, independent rheumatology practice in Great Falls, Montana. We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team and help provide excellent care to patients with rheumatologic conditions. As a small specialty practice, this position offers the opportunity to work closely with the provider and play an important role in both patient care and daily clinic operations. Position Responsibilities * Room patients and obtain vital signs, medication lists, and relevant medical history * Assist with patient intake, examinations, and procedures * Provide patient education as directed by the provider * Assist with injections and other in-office procedures within the LPN’s scope of practice * Assist with medication administration and monitoring as directed * Process prescription refill requests according to established clinic protocols and provider direction * Review and track laboratory results and route clinically significant results to the provider * Assist with prior authorizations and specialty medication coordination * Communicate with pharmacies, laboratories, specialty pharmacies, and other healthcare providers * Assist with referrals and obtaining outside medical records * Contact patients regarding provider-directed information, appointments, testing, and follow-up * Assist with telephone triage under provider-established protocols and supervision * Prepare examination rooms and maintain appropriate clinical supplies * Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record * Assist with patient messages and clinical follow-up as directed by the provider * Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all applicable regulations * Perform other clinical and administrative duties appropriate to the position Ideal Candidate We are looking for an LPN who is: * Licensed and in good standing in the State of Montana * Experienced in an outpatient or specialty clinic setting * Comfortable working independently while also functioning as part of a small team * Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented * Professional and compassionate with patients * Comfortable learning and using electronic medical records * Able to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a busy specialty practice * Interested in developing knowledge and expertise in rheumatology Rheumatology experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who has strong clinical skills and a desire to learn.
