Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/A Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: CPR certification Experience REQUIRED: N/A Experience PREFERRED: Experience working with children or adults with emotional and mental disorders Experience providing patient care on an inpatient psychiatric hospital unit Education/training REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field (counseling, psychology, social work, or related field). Education/training PREFERRED: At least one year of supplemental related training working with emotional and mental disorders Independent action(s) required: Functions under the direction of a LIP, manager and RN in providing relationship-based and age-specific care to psychiatric patients including emotional support using therapeutic communication, developing skills in thinking and responding, assisting with the development and maintenance of a safe and therapeutic milieu; all in accordance with hospital, nursing and unit policy/procedure. Job duties may include the handling, transportation, access to and/or contact with medications and related supplies.

Work all three shifts, weekends and holidays. Individual shift rotation and schedules will be established with your Nurse Manager/Practice Manager. Schedule, including requirements or assignments, is in the best interest of the work unit.

Compensation Range
$18.39 - $28.51
