About this role

Sentara is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) at Norfolk General Hospital's Surgical Unit in Norfolk Virginia. This 42-bed unit specializes in the care of Adult Surgical Patients. Registered Nurses are assigned to PODs to assist patients recovering from surgeries including Urology, General Surgery, ENT, Plastic Surgery, GYN Surgery, Surgical Oncology, and Trauma Overflow. The unit is telemetry-monitored with an average patient stay of 3-4 days. It also has 6 beds for Epilepsy monitoring and is the Living Kidney Donor Transplant Unit. Shift is Weekend Nights (7p-7a) (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon). Sign on Bonus up to $20,000 offered for qualified candidates. Relocation packages available.

Requirements

  • RN Degree (REQUIRED)
  • Virginia RN License (REQUIRED)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90 days of hire
  • Prior RN experience PREFERRED
