Carilion New River Valley Mental Health is a mental health unit within the hospital that is committed to meeting the behavioral and mental health need of our patients. It consists of 36 bed inpatient unit with thriving outpatient practice. The Nurse Practitioner will report to the Section Chief and will be part of a behavioral health team.

Carilion Clinic is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the behavioral health team at Carilion New River Valley Mental Health . A Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is preferred; however, qualified Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) with an interest or experience in behavioral health are encouraged to apply.

Schedule This position offers a consistent schedule of three 12-hour shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., Friday through Sunday , providing four days off each week. Your Opportunity Carilion New River Valley Mental Health is dedicated to meeting the behavioral and mental health needs of patients in a supportive, team-based environment. The program includes a 36-bed inpatient behavioral health unit as well as a thriving outpatient practice, providing a strong continuum of psychiatric care.

As an APP, you will work as an integral member of a collaborative behavioral health team and report to the Section Chief. You will have the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with patients, contribute to individualized treatment plans, and work alongside experienced behavioral health professionals committed to improving patients' quality of life. What We Require

Education

Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

Experience

0 Licensure/

Certification

Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP), DEA license and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required. AHA BLS-HCP certification required. Advanced Life Support certification preferred. Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine. Other: Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers, good written and oral communication skills. Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.

Compensation Range

$107,993.60 - $172,785.60 Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
