About this role
*Job Description:*
Pinnacle Academy, a high-performing independent private school in Chantilly, VA, is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to provide daily healthcare support to our student body of approximately 320 students, ranging from Preschool through Grade 12.
We are looking for a compassionate and organized professional with a positive and caring personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong rapport with students of all ages. The ideal candidate will play a key role in promoting student health, safety, and overall well-being within the school community.

- Provide immediate care and support to students in need of medical attention
- Administer medications in accordance with school policies and medical guidelines
- Maintain clear and timely communication with parents regarding student health concerns, injuries, or incidents
- Ensure a safe and healthy school environment
*Specific
Duties

- Assess and treat students who require medical attention during the school day
- Contact parents/guardians in cases of illness, injury, or health-related concerns
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation of all health incidents
- Maintain up-to-date student medical records, including emergency care plans
- Assist in developing and implementing emergency response procedures
- Collaborate with school staff to support student health needs
- Attend required staff meetings and participate in school activities as needed
- Promote effective communication between parents, staff, and students
- Support positive school-parent relationships when discussing student health concerns
- Serve as a reliable and supportive health resource for the school community

Requirements

- Degree from an accredited school of nursing
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or multi-state licensure privilege
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with students of all ages
- Pediatric or school nursing experience preferred
