American Traveler is hiring a CVICU RN for a high-acuity cardiac surgery and advanced heart failure unit requiring at least 1 year of CVICU experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Work in a 28-bed Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)
Patient population is 80% cardiac surgery and 20% advanced heart failure
Cares for high-risk cardiac surgery patients including open heart recovery, heart transplant, LVAD implant, ECMO, Impella, IABP, and CRRT patients
Utilizes Swan-Ganz catheters and CCO monitoring
Uses Cerner/COMPASS EMR
Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
May float to MICU/SICU or medical/cardiac stepdown units as needed
Requirements
Active TX or compact RN license required
Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
Preferred experience managing advanced cardiac devices such as IABP, Impella, and Swan-Ganz catheters
Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
Valid driver's license copy required for consideration

Lead discharge planning in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
