The 5-Diamond Patient Safety Program was developed as an innovative training and recognition program to assist dialysis providers in increasing awareness and building a culture of safety among patients.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include
The Registered Nurse (RN) organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports the philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing; Hold a current American Heart Association BLS certification. A bachelor’s degree in nursing is strongly preferred. This position offers a day schedule. A minimum of one year dialysis experience is preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Must be willing to float within the Renal Department as needed. Must be willing to perform On Call as needed.
