We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Assistant with Lab Experience to join our team at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility located in Carlisle, Indiana.
The Medical Assistant works under the direction of the RN or LPN and is responsible for monitoring patient vital signs, implementing orders for diagnostic lab test, and assisting the Physician with minor procedures. Additionally, responsibilities include recording EKGs, maintaining and cleaning medical equipment, and collecting data for Quality Improvement programs, as assigned.
Current Indiana Medical Assistant license/certification Minimum of 6 months Lab Experience Current CPR Corrections experience preferred, not required Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Available Shift: full-time days, Monday-Friday
