Registered Nurse

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and medication management per physician orders while maintaining aseptic technique.
• Monitor patients’ conditions continuously using advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, and dialysis machines; respond promptly to changes in status.
• Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization (including urinary and cardiac), tube feeding management, and ostomy care with precision and adherence to infection control protocols.
• Document all patient interactions thoroughly within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, therapists, case managers, and social workers—to coordinate discharge planning and long-term care strategies.
• Lead triage assessments in urgent care or emergency settings; prioritize patient needs based on acuity levels in fast-paced environments like Level I trauma centers or emergency rooms.

*Experience*

• Proven nursing experience in acute care settings such as ICU, emergency medicine, trauma centers (Level I or II), or hospital medicine units.
• Hands-on experience with complex procedures including cardiac catheterization, spinal taps, laboratory specimen collection/processing, and ICD coding for accurate documentation.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; proficient in medical terminology, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to manage diverse patient populations including pediatrics (neonatal ventilator use), geriatrics (memory care), behavioral health cases, and individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
• Critical care experience in ICU or trauma units; experience working within hospital medicine or post-acute care environments is highly valued.
• Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques during sterile processing procedures like phlebotomy or specimen collection.
• Additional qualifications include basic life support (BLS), advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS), wound suturing skills, dialysis management experience, and familiarity with occupational health protocols.
