Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for outpatient surgical and endoscopy cases, including preoperative assessment and postoperative PACU Phase II care
Monitor patient status, including vitals, and assist with moderate sedation as credentialed; support rapid patient turnover
Assist with preoperative preparation, anesthesia handoffs, intraprocedural support, and PACU Phase II recovery; maintain sterile technique and infection control
Collaborate with the surgical team, anesthesia, and perioperative staff to ensure safe, efficient patient flow and timely discharge planning
Document care in the electronic medical record; deliver patient and family education and discharge instructions
Adapt to a fast-paced outpatient environment with open heart preop and total joint case considerations as available

Requirements

Active California RN license
BLS and ACLS certifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in outpatient surgery, endoscopy, or perioperative settings
