About this role

Administers patient care in an area in a hospital or inpatient/observation setting where an acute care patient receives active treatment for an injury, episode of illness, a medical condition, or post intervention with assessment. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing individualized plans of care, functioning as patient and family advocate, serving as preceptor/charge nurse/unit educator, collaborating with medical staff and interdisciplinary team, documenting patient care, demonstrating competency in nursing skills, prioritizing patient care per Evidence-Based Practice Standards, delegating tasks, and maintaining compliance with policies.
