About this role
Treat actual or potential health problems using the nursing diagnosis and case management. Teach, counsel and provide supportive care to the patient and their significant others. Interviews patient (if possible) and/or family to obtain required history and make an accurate assessment.
Assigns a triage priority based on observations and available information. Initiates diagnostic and therapeutic measures as indicated by standing protocols. Calls for crisis intervention if appropriate.
Communicates and acts as liaison between the patient, family, and health professionals in a manner that respects confidentiality and dignity. Coordinates the needs of the patient with supporting departments and assists in solving problems related to the welfare of patient and staff. Charts concisely, descriptively, and legibly indicating patient's progress or lack or progress.
Performs nursing procedures safely and efficiently. Demonstrates understanding of, and adheres to, the hospital's infection control protocols. Demonstrates compliance with exiting standards and policies.

Requirements
- RN License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- IV Certification preferred
- Graduate of an accredited program in nursing
- Current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of NJ
- 2 year or more experience in an acute care setting preferred
