Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Jul 13, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Behavioral Health (Psychiatric) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, inpatient psych background, and Epic proficiency.
Details Inpatient Behavioral Health Hospital unit Patient diagnoses include Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD), and Bipolar Disorder Day shift

3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM 4 weekend shifts required per 6-week period Floating required to the Adult Behavioral Health unit or other health system locations as needed Epic EMR experience is mandatory Requirements Active NC or Compact RN license required Current BLS certification required STARR certification preferred Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Previous inpatient and medical psychiatric nursing experience required Experience with Epic EMR is mandatory Child/adolescent, locked unit, group home, and substance/chemical dependency experience preferred Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Copy of driver's license required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance regardless of specialty — two attempts are allowed Candidates should prepare for the EKG exam in advance, as study materials will not be provided by the facility Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
