Director of Nursing Company: Executive Search Network/Platinum Staffing Location: Queens, NY We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing Services to lead our Queens Nursing Facility. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall staffing, staff training and development, and management of personnel in the nursing department. Job Summary: As a Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by being responsible for the overall quality of care assessment, planning, documentation, and provision of services. You will be expected to demonstrate excellent understanding of clinical skills and key nursing programs, and provide direct nursing care as necessary. Responsibilities: Supervise day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of the nursing department Create a positive team environment that is patient/resident-centered Demonstrate excellent understanding of clinical skills and key nursing programs Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the department Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, and charting Help determine staffing needs Provide direct nursing care as necessary Qualifications: Minimum of two years of experience in nursing service administration required Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse in NY Education or experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred Must be able to demonstrate age-specific knowledge of developmental factors for adult and geriatric residents Demonstrate effective communication skills, problem-solving, and conflict resolution Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable Strong customer service skills and compassion Salary: $ [Salary will be based on experience] annually If you are a passionate and experienced nursing professional looking for a new challenge, please consider joining our team.
