- Provide direct patient care across various departments, including critical care units, emergency rooms, outpatient clinics, and long-term care facilities.

- Assist with patient assessments by taking vital signs, performing physical examinations, and documenting medical histories accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Support specialized procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, tube feeding management, and sterile technique adherence.
- Administer medications and injections following proper protocols while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet patients’ unique needs—ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics and behavioral health.
- Participate in diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing and diagnostic imaging like CT scans or mammography when applicable.
- Engage in patient education on topics such as pain management, medication adherence, discharge planning, and health coaching to promote optimal recovery.
Experience
- Recent graduation from an accredited nursing program with active RN licensure.
- Clinical rotation experience in diverse settings such as ICU (Intensive Care Unit), ER (Emergency Room), PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit), or medical-surgical units is highly valued.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for documentation and patient record management.
- Exposure to specialized areas including cardiology (cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology (Botulinum toxin treatment), infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, trauma medicine at Level I or II trauma centers, neonatal resuscitation procedures, or pediatric intensive care units (PICU).
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is advantageous.
- Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate documentation of diagnoses; understanding of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy compliance.
- Hands-on experience with critical care procedures such as ventilator management, airway management, telemetry monitoring, aseptic technique practices, and infection control protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic life support (BLS), advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS), and other emergency response procedures confidently.
