Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for individuals or a patient group according to established standards and the nursing process
- Assess patient status, implement care plans, and document response to interventions
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per hospital policy and physician orders
- Supervise and direct activities of various nursing staff levels; coordinate care with other disciplines
- Employ critical thinking and professional judgment to prioritize and adjust care in dynamic situations
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the health care team to ensure safe, holistic care
Requirements
- Active RN license in California
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred
- ER nursing experience or equivalent fast-paced acute care experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Ability to work in a high-volume ER environment and manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to fulfill a travel assignment with 3x12-hour day shifts
