The Center for Recovery and Wellness takes a holistic, strengths-based approach to recovery and wellness that responds to the distinct needs of each individual. Programs include residential and outpatient addiction treatment, recovery services, prevention education, and community programming. CRW offers culturally competent, evidence-based programs and services that strengthen individuals and communities, enhance resiliency, and foster lasting recovery.
We are seeking a part-time Registered Nurse is to perform nursing duties, medication administration oversight, and psychoeducation at the Center for Recovery and Wellness.
Responsibilities
- Follow protocols and policies for medication management duties in the residential addiction treatment facility and support outpatient facility as needed.
- Maintain standards of accurate and complete recording and reporting of client files.
- Assess the medical status of new and existing clients, and refer for outside medical care when appropriate.
- Monitor physical health needs for patients receiving ancillary withdrawal services.
- Follow physician orders in a timely manner and maintain high standards of client care.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurser (RN) with a valid NYS license required
- 3-5 years of experience in a nursing role required
- Experience working with substance abuse and dual diagnosis populations
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Team player who is able to multi-task and handle challenging situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
- Competency with computer-based programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook email, Relias, and electronic health records.
