Traveler / Location Requirement
This is a travel assignment based in Syracuse, NY. Candidates must live outside the 50-mile radius from the facility to qualify.
Required Qualifications
Current New York State RN registration Current BLS certification or ability to be recertified Minimum of 1.5 years of recent experience within the past 2 years in an acute care facility of similar size and level as the hospital Strong interpersonal and communication skills Must not have had a professional license or certification suspended or investigated Must not have been named as a defendant in a professional liability claim Must have verification of legal right to work in the United States Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance All candidates are subject to drug screening and criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications
Internal Medicine: ambulatory or outpatient experience preferred Hematology-Oncology: recent outpatient oncology experience preferred; infusion experience preferred Pediatrics: experience with vital signs, immunizations, hearing and vision screening, TB placement and reading, VFC vaccine program knowledge, straight cathing, and ear flushing preferred EPIC experience preferred Traveler candidates will only be considered if experienced in hospitals of equal or greater size or in trauma centers
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in an ambulatory specialty setting Perform nursing assessments and support clinic flow with minimal orientation and supervision Carry out the majority of patient care skills needed in the assigned specialty area Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support safe, efficient care delivery Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinic and hospital protocols Support high-quality patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment
