To lead the staff's nursing activities within the philosophy, standards and goals of University Hospital. To serve as clinician, educator, consultant and manager for patient care and team members. To maintain required competencies to perform the nurse's role in a safe and legal manner. May be responsible for duties relative to facilitating schedules, quality outcomes and budgeting. May assist nurse manager with various human resources responsibilities.

Requirements

  • RN
  • Associate's degree in Nursing
  • Eighteen (18) months of related experience
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
  • CNOR certification by the Competency and Credentialing Institute (CCI) for OR
  • CPAN or CAPA certification by ABPANC for PreOp
  • CPAN certification by ABPANC for PACU
