RESPONSIBILITIES Job Specific Competencies: Demonstrates appropriate assessment of the patient and documents appropriately. Serves as a professional resource when needed, including assisting in co-worker training and orientation. Demonstrates understanding of role in all areas of conscious sedation and medication administration. Demonstrates customer relations as high priority in line with JCMG mission, vision and values. Participates in educational experiences designed to maintain and/or improve professional competence. Maintains high work ethic standards. Provides quality customer service to staff, patients and visitors at all times. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: ADN or BSN degree Experience: Prefer 2-years of experience in the operating room setting Certification/License: RN license in the state of MO in good standing Current BCLS certification Current ACLS certification (or obtain ACLS certification within 6 months of employment) Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel WORK ENVIRONMENT Working environment is generally favorable; however, there is exposure risk in the form of disease and potential for exposure to electrical and explosion hazards common in a surgical department environment. High potential for exposure to blood and body fluids; Personal protective equipment required.
