About this role
Radiology Ltd., a 500 - employee imaging organization located in Tucson AZ, seeks a Full Time Registered Nurse 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, Mon-Fri. We are looking for an individual who will support the IR department with moderate sedations, contrast reactions and procedure assistance. Enthusiasm for the role, someone who enjoys to be challenged, exhibits initiative, has excellent nursing judgment and compassion for patients are all attributes that Radiology Ltd. values. This position is located at our Wilmot site, but does include travel to other sites.

Responsibilities
- Assists radiologists with procedures including patient monitoring, administering conscious sedation and other procedure medications as per physician order
- Research and coordinate patient data, ensuring appropriate lab results, prior studies, etc. are available for the radiologist to review prior to procedure
- Provide direct patient care and be a patient advocate
- Provide nursing care for patients with adverse reactions, IV extravasations as well as unstable patients
- Assist with the flow of patients in the imaging suites, including interviewing, providing patients with instructions, and inserting IV access on patients for exams
- Assist technologist with education regarding new medications, monitoring equipment, IV insertion, and emergency procedures
- Maintain crash cart and emergency boxes, replacing expired medication and equipment as necessary
- Maintain stock of medications and assist technologist with procedural supplies as needed
Requirements
- Requires a degree from an accredited school of nursing with an Arizona Nursing License.
- ACLS Certification required .
- At least 1 year Critical Care and/or Emergency Room experience required.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience. Radiology Nursing background preferred.
- Must be able to bend, stand, squat and lift 50-75 pounds.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
