Orientation review

Add your employer’s orientation details.

Know what your orientation includes

Check time with a preceptor, feedback, workload expectations, and any work commitment. Keep your questions and editable message together in Saved work.

Is nurse residency the same as orientation?

A residency or fellowship can include education and support beyond your time with a preceptor. Ask separately about the program’s total length, your supervised orientation, how progress is reviewed, and who can adjust the plan. A program lasting a year does not mean a year of precepted shifts.

Can LPNs, LVNs, and nurse practitioners use this checker?

Yes. Choose registered nurse, practical or vocational nurse, or nurse practitioner. Add your setting and shift so the questions fit your work. RN residency, LPN/LVN orientation, and NP fellowship arrangements differ; the checker keeps your role and the program’s published requirements in view.

What does the checker look up about my employer?

Add an employer, campus, or job or program link to look for relevant public information. The result links any sources used and separates published program details from what you have been told. If a detail is missing or does not clearly apply to your role, it becomes a question to clarify.
