How are new nurses paired when acuity changes or an assignment becomes unsafe?
Who can I reach in the moment when I need a second set of eyes, and how is charge coverage assigned?

Questions that help you choose the role

Start with what would change your decision: the support on your shift, the workload, or the schedule. Ask for a recent example, then write down what you heard.

What should a new graduate nurse ask in an interview?

Ask how orientation progresses, who supports you on your shift, and how you receive feedback. Request an example: how does the team decide someone is ready for a larger assignment? A clear process is more useful than a promise of a supportive culture.

Can I use this for an LPN or LVN interview?

Yes. Choose LPN/LVN and describe the role. Useful questions clarify your day-to-day responsibilities, assignment expectations, and who is available for guidance on your shift. Add anything the posting leaves unclear.

What should a nurse practitioner ask a potential employer?

Clarify onboarding, visit or patient volume, clinical backup, inbox work, and call coverage. Ask how these responsibilities change as you settle into the role, and who decides when your workload increases.

Can the questions use a specific employer or job posting?

Yes. Add the employer, campus, or posting link, or paste the posting. The card can use relevant public information and show any sources it uses. A general employer page may leave details about your own team unanswered; those become questions for the interview.

Can I save the questions and return after my interview?
