Applied by endorsement in June and still nothing. Normal?

Quinn moving states

The question

Compact does not cover where I am headed, so I went the endorsement route in June and have been refreshing a status page ever since.

The board site quotes eight to ten weeks. I am past that. The phone line goes nowhere and the portal has said the same word for a month.

For anyone who has done this: what actually moved yours? Did calling help, was it a transcript office sitting on something, or is waiting simply the entire answer?

One structural thing that catches people here. An endorsement file usually waits on items that arrive from somewhere other than you: verification from the state that issued your original licence, a transcript from your school, and in some states a background check result. Any one of those can be the thing that is late while your own portal says only that the application is in review.

So the useful question to the board is not where is my licence. It is which items are still outstanding on my file, because that is answerable by whoever picks up, and it tells you which office to chase.

Mine was the school. Transcript request sat in a queue for five weeks and nobody was going to tell me, because from the board's side it simply had not arrived.

Call the registrar before you call the board again. That is the office with an incentive to fix it quickly and an actual human answering.

Calling helped once, and only because I had the file number and asked one specific question. Vague calls got me the same sentence as the portal.

Also worth doing while you wait: ask your future manager whether they will hold the start date. Mine would have, and I spent a fortnight worrying about a thing that was never actually at risk.

What would you tell them?

Answer from what you have seen. It posts without your name.

A person reads every answer before it appears — usually within a few days.
